2 How do you get access to an Open course?

Open courses are hosted on a platform that can be accessed by anyone who registers with the platform provider. Most providers use a model that allows learners to access a course without cost for a specified period, with an upgrade option that enables extended access and/or certification for completing the course. However, there are exceptions to this. For example, some higher education institutions may have an agreement with hosting platform providers whereby their students and staff are automatically upgraded without cost if they use their university email address to log into the platform.
