We have been truly amazed and humbled by the openness and willingness of so many people to make this project a reality. In the first place, we thank all of the experts at the University of Leeds who contributed chapters on such a diverse range of different subjects. It has given this textbook real breadth, offering something for everyone. Kirstine McDermid and her colleagues from the Libraries OER team (James Booth, María Andrades de los Rios, Nicki Lumb, Jane Edwards, Alice Jones and Kelly Almond-Beech) have been incredibly helpful in guiding us through the process of using this platform to create the textbook and a host of other things that go along with publishing an open access resource like this.  A much wider group of scholars have also been extremely helpful and enthusiastic about the project at every stage in its development, giving up their time and expertise to peer review each chapter.
