48 Recognition of contributions
Your participants may wish to evidence their participation in your event. Consider which types of certificate will be valuable for your participants, facilitators and co-organisers.
Certificate of participation | · This certifies participation in the specific learning opportunity without needing evidence of completion. |
Certificate of achievement | · This certifies work completed during the specific learning opportunity and provides evidence for this. For example, it could relate to learning in groups and a specific output the group has co-created. |
Certificate of participating in facilitation training | · This certifies participation in specific training related to facilitation for the learning opportunity. Facilitators may be staff and students. |
Certificate of facilitation | · This certifies facilitation duties during a Broadening offer. Facilitators can be staff, students or other stakeholders. |
Certificate of hosting | · This certifies hosting and organising a Broadening offer. Hosts may be staff, students or other stakeholders. |
Think about who needs to sign your certificate(s). If your offer is collaborative, it’s a good idea to include the logos of your partner and lead collaborator.
Refer to Appendix 8: Certificates for draft certificates used in the Social Justice Jam: Spaces for Change event in June 2024. You are welcome to edit and repurpose these for your own event.
