24 Aims

There are three key aims to the Broadening initiative within the Curriculum Redefined programme:

1. Create expansive innovative learning opportunities in the form of non-credit-bearing courses to develop broader knowledge, skills and values.
2. Introduce a flexible process for recognising cross-disciplinary learning and development for students, staff and citizens outside the institution.
3. Provide a low-stakes scaffold for those working towards Structured, Open, Unbounded, Learner-Led (SOUL) modules as a top-up, enabling them to gain academic credits for existing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
