13 Introduction

You can use this resource to create a scenario for inquiry-based learning. This may include problem-based learning or challenge-based learning and other forms of participatory learning. This approach considers evidence-based principles for learning scenario design.

If you’re using a scenario, for example, an authentic news story or research case, the following will still be useful to guide you through how you can develop the scenario effectively for learning, and what you need to take into consideration.

Educators are the primary audience for these guidelines. However, they may also be useful in situations where learners are invited to create their own learning scenarios in a variety of settings.
